I am sure you are pretty good at what you do but this is NOT a place for advertising. I enjoy Yahoo!Answers but advertsing for tour guide for Beijing on Y!A seem to be on the increase and it is getting to be very annoying.

Weird? It was crazy.

We scored EIGHT without Rooney on the score sheet. Anderson and Evra missed absolute sitters! Gibson missed an open goal too.

That last goal that Greentown scored was just a flaw in Foster’s clearance.

Aye it was a funny game…Ryan Giggs hattrick lol, i cant remember last time he scored one in the past, but glad he did . Anderson was funny running through the defence then hitting the post lol. It was weird, cos we looked like we could score in every attack, which is good cos we will be very confident ahead of audi cup and season ahead. Owens second goal was definately the best goal yet, berba’s flick, was perfect …cant believe evra didnt score haha

Let’s think about your question and industrialized warfare. A wall built centuries ago would be useless against tanks, modern artillery and military airpower. That notwithstanding the Japanese never went anywhere near the Great Wall during their invasion of China.

other than the two answers previously stated.. The "great wall" was intended to protect China from the mongols and other enemies to the west.. Japan largely invaded from the east and would not have been hindered in any way by the "great wall"…

also.. the Wall; even if it had been fully intact would have done nothing to slow a modern army; it was designed and built starting in the 5th century BC and was to defend against invaders that had no idea about gunpowder, aerial combat, tanks or other inventions of modern warfare…
