    To keep the northern babarians (Huns, Mongol, Turkic, and other nomadic tribes) out.

    Initially, there are only guard post towers. But the 1st Emperor of China, Qing, connected them all. (approx. 300BC)

    As each dynasty change and progress, the wall was rebuild, refurbished or extended.

    It is a Chinese fortification built from the 3rd century BC until the beginning of the 17th century, in order to protect the various dynasties from raids by Hunnic, Mongol, Turkic, and other nomadic tribes coming from areas in modern-day Mongolia and Manchuria.
